Artworks by artist Jari Antila
The material of the artworks is most often wood and metal. Wood comes always from Finnish natural softwood forests. The ready made wood plate is sculptured and burned quickly. The surface ash is there after strapped or polished away, in this way the wood fibres soften and absorb the colour in in a transparent way.
